PUZZLE BOY
The Puzzle Boy minigame from Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne, rebuilt to run on its own for Windows, macOS and Linux — a preservation port that plays the original stages from your own copy, and a Community Edition that plays out of the box with a new campaign, a level editor and level packs.

Community Edition is the one to play. Push blocks, turn swivels and fill holes with the original’s rules through a campaign of twenty new stages, up to a team of three Jacks, then paint your own in the level editor, which marks every problem by its cell, playtests the stage and asks the solver. Stages travel as level packs, each checked before it’s added. The Default theme draws its graphics and synthesizes its music in code, so there is nothing to download after unpacking; with Nocturne HD Remaster, one import plays every stage in the original’s look and sound instead.
The preservation port is the original, faithfully: it reads your own copy of Nocturne HD Remaster and plays its 20 stages at the original’s speed, from the Manikin Kid’s introductions to the turning view and the menu’s undo.
Both play on puzzle-boy-engine, the headless rules, stage authoring and presentation libraries they share. Nothing from ATLUS or SEGA ships in any download — the port and the Classic theme read it from your copy, and the game never looks for Nocturne unless you ask. It’s an independent fan project, in C# on MonoGame.
